I am originally from Hazlet New Jersey and graduated from High School there. I moved to NC right after high school to pursue my BSN at ECU. I moved to Carteret County one year after graduation to get married. I worked for 17 years at Carteret Healthcare in the birthing center. I have 2 daughters. Katelyn is the oldest and the is in the parametric program. Alexis is the youngest and will start nursing school in the fall.
I am a third generation nurse and I have 2 sisters in law that are nurses. I always knew I wanted to be a nurse in Labor and Delivery since I can remember.
When I returned to graduate school I was unsure what I was going to do. At first I was going the be a Nurse educator, but soon realized that I would take me away from the patients. I decided to be a FNP because I can take care of patients and educate as well.
I have a strong desire to focus on preventative care and health education to women of all ages and pregnant woman. Health is physical, mental and spiritual.
