Steven Banks, MD, FACOG

About Dr. Banks

“When I was a young man and at the military’s medical school, Obstetrics and Gynecology was the last career path I thought I’d pursue. But over 20 years later, I’m so glad I made that decision. Obstetrics and Gynecology is an amazing specialty that allows me to take care of patients with medical, endocrinologic, infectious, and surgical needs. No single day is the same whether in the clinic, operating room, or delivering babies on labor and delivery. I am passionate about full-scope women’s health care and consider it a privilege to be trusted with our patients’ care.”

“I’m new to the practice as I’ve recently retired from the Navy, but I have lived in Carteret County for over ten years. I am honored to have the opportunity to serve the patients of my community and to be able to continue to take care of our local military families too.”

When he’s not working, Dr. Banks enjoys spending time with his wife, three sons and daughter. He loves sports and attends many volleyball, basketball, softball, and baseball games. In addition, he coaches youth basketball, youth and high school baseball.
